About Me
Hi there! So glad you are here. Let me introduce myself. I am not only a therapist, but a wife, a mom, a sister-in-law, a friend, a lifelong learner, and several other roles giving me insight and many life experiences that have been heartwarming, heartbreaking, humbling, and everything in between. My path to becoming a therapist wasn't a direct one. I worked in the corporate space, being part of large organizations, which was a positive career experience yet not a very personal one. I also took on the difficult job of being a stay-at-home parent, which, reflecting back now, I wish I had reached out to a therapist then because parenting is challenging and sometimes isolating. I also spent time volunteering as a caregiver and helping in a hospital emergency department. These experiences and connections lead me to the decision of wanting to work with people in a much more individual and personal way. I am curious by nature, personable, a problem-solver, and love connecting with people so becoming a therapist made sense to me as another special role to add to my list. I consider myself a down-to-earth, easy to talk to, and genuine person (and therapist!) sprinkled with some humor and sarcasm.

I am a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist #136373. I offer in-person and telehealth sessions at Alice Rodriguez Counseling in El Dorado Hills, California. I am under the direct supervision of Amanda Jacobson, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #97234. I have my Master of Arts in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Palo Alto University. I also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from San Jose State University.

When my therapist hat is hung up for the day, you can find me spending time
with loved ones—my husband, my 3 kids, my extended family, or close friends—
because they make my heart and mind happy. And if that time together involves
a grilled cheese sandwich, even better!
